Bridge inspections and the manual inspection methods that bridge inspections have used in the past have to be replaced. It is well known that our infrastructure is not in the best shape. If we are inspecting every bridge every 2 years as is required, why are the bridges in such bad shape. A good part of the reason is that the manual methods do not provide enough quantitative data to make the best budgetary or maintenance decisions. The answer lies in nondestructive testing and robotics.
IPC is a bridge inspection and robotic engineering company that provides nondestructive testing and robotic inspection services for asset owners worldwide. http://www.infrastructurepc.com
